The outbreak has now claimed 576,724 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 32,393,394 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 10:00 am BJT on Sunday.
India has confirmed a total of 19,557,457 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 215,542.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 14,725,975 with 406,437 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
France has recorded 5,703,505 confirmed cases and 104,867 deaths.
Turkey has confirmed 4,849,408 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 40,504.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 109,011 lives in Russia, bringing the total number of infections to 4,768,476.
The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 4,434,159, with the number of deaths at 127,782, according to the JHU virus tracker.
A total of 4,035,617 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 121,033.
It is followed by Spain with 78,216 deaths from 3,524,077 infections.
Germany has reported 3,424,959 COVID-19 cases and 83,208 deaths from the virus so far.
