The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 3,449,399 with the global confirmed cases reaching 166,438,026 as of 10:00 am BJT on Sunday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 589,670 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 33,103,118 infections.
India has confirmed a total of 26,289,290 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 295,525.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 16,047,439 with 448,208 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
France has recorded 5,979,597 confirmed cases and 108,345 deaths.
Turkey has confirmed 5,178,648 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 46,071.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 116,144 lives in Russia, bringing the total number of infections to 4,935,302.
The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 4,476,297, with the number of deaths at 127,978, according to the JHU virus tracker.
A total of 4,188,190 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 125,153.
Germany has reported 3,653,019 COVID-19 cases and 87,320 deaths from the virus so far.
It is followed by Spain with 79,620 deaths from 3,636,453 infections.
