The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 3,518,698 with the global confirmed cases reaching 169,282,960 as of 10:30 am BJT on Saturday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

The outbreak has now claimed 593,938 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 33,239,509 infections.
India has confirmed a total of 27,555,457 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 318,895.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 16,391,930 with 459,045 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
France has recorded 5,708,350 confirmed cases and 109,452 deaths.
Turkey has confirmed 5,228,322 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 47,134.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 118,386 lives in Russia, bringing the total number of infections to 4,986,458.
The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 4,493,582, with the number of deaths at 128,030, according to the JHU virus tracker.
A total of 4,209,707 people in Italy have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 125,919.
It is followed by Argentina with 76,693 deaths from 3,702,422 infections.
Germany has reported 3,680,159 COVID-19 cases and 88,246 deaths from the virus so far.
