Globally, as of 7 pm BJT on Sunday, there have been 5,891,182 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 365,966 deaths, reported the WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed 105,319 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 1,810,313 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 7 pm BJT on Sunday.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 498,440 with 288,834 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 405,843 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 4,693.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 274,219, with the number of deaths at 38,458 according to the JHU virus tracker.

Spain has recorded 239,228 confirmed cases and 27,125 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 33,340 lives in Italy, bringing the total number of infections to 232,664.

A total of 188,752 people in France have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 28,774.

It is followed by Germany with 8,539 deaths from 183,302 infections.

India has reported 182,681 COVID-19 cases and 5,188 deaths from the virus so far.

Turkey has confirmed a total of 162,120 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 4,489.
