Globally, as of 6 pm BJT on Monday, there have been 3,356,205 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 238,730 deaths, reported the WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed at least 68,394 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 1,186,282  infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 6 pm BJT on Monday.

Spain has recorded 218,011 confirmed cases and 25,264 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has infected 210,717 in Italy, with the death toll at 28,884.

The UK's confirmed cases have increased to 187,842, with the number of deaths at 28,520, according to the JHU virus tracker.

A total of 168,925 people in France have tested positive for COVID-19, with the number of deaths increasing to 24,900, according to the JHU virus tracker.

It is followed by Germany with 6,866 deaths from 165,664 infections.

There have been 145,268 who tested positive for COVID-19 and 1,356 who have died from the virus in Russia.

Turkey has confirmed a total of 126,045 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 3,397.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 101,826 with 7,051 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Iran has reported 98,647 COVID-19 cases and 6,203 deaths from the virus so far.
