The total number of deaths from the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide has increased to 1,263,089 with the global confirmed cases reaching 50,913,451 as of 5:30 pm BJT on Tuesday, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.

Current status (data as of 5:30pm BJT, Nov 10):

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 238,251 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 10,110,552, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University. 

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 8,591,730. The death toll grew to 127,059.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 5,675,032. The death toll grew to 162,628.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in France have increased to 1,856,292 with 41,049 deaths.

It is followed by Russia with 1,781,997 infections and 30,546 deaths, Spain with 1,381,218 infections and 39,345 deaths, Argentina with 1,250,499 cases and 33,907 deaths, United Kingdom with 1,216,747 cases and 49,329 deaths, and Colombia with 1,149,064 cases and 32,974 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mexico have increased to 967,825 with 95,027 deaths.
