Globally, as of 1:49pm CET, Sunday, there have been 45,942,902 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 1,192,644 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 230,934 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 9,198,700, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 8:24 am BJT on Monday. 

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 8,184,082. The death toll grew to 122,111.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 5,545,705. The death toll grew to 160,074.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 1,624,648 with 28,026 deaths.

It is followed by France with 1,458,999 infections and 37,057 deaths, Spain with 1,185,678 infections and 35,878 deaths, Argentina with 1,173,533 cases and 31,140 deaths, Colombia with 1,073,809 cases and 31,799 deaths and United Kingdom with 1,038,054 cases and 46,807 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mexico have increased to 924,962 with 91,753 deaths.
