Globally, as of 7 pm BJT on Saturday, there have been 61,036,793 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,433,316 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 269,715 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 13,314,238 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 7:30 pm BJT on Saturday.

India has confirmed a total of 9,351,109 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 136,200.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 6,238,350 with 171,974 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

France has recorded 2,248,209 confirmed cases and 51,999 deaths.

Russia has confirmed 2,223,500 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 38,676.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 44,668 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 1,628,208.

The UK has reported 1,593,250 COVID-19 cases and 57,648 deaths from the virus so far.

It is followed by Italy with 53,677 deaths from 1,538,217 infections.

A total of 1,407,277 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 38,216.

Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 1,290,510, with the number of deaths at 36,214, according to the JHU virus tracker.
