Globally, as of 7:30 pm BJT on Sunday, there have been 61,654,661 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,444,596 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 271,917 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 13,474,075 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 7:30 pm BJT on Sunday.

India has confirmed a total of 9,392,919 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 136,696.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 6,290,272 with 172,561 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

France has recorded 2,260,789 confirmed cases and 52,212 deaths.

Russia has confirmed 2,249,890 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 39,127.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 44,668 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 1,628,208.

The UK has reported 1,609,141 COVID-19 cases and 58,127 deaths from the virus so far.

It is followed by Italy with 54,363 deaths from 1,564,532 infections.

A total of 1,413,375 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 38,322.

Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 1,299,613, with the number of deaths at 36,401, according to the JHU virus tracker.
