Globally, as of 3:46 pm CET, Monday, there have been 46,403,652 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 1,198,569 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 231,493 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 9,282,362, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 8:24 am BJT on Tuesday. 

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 8,229,313. The death toll grew to 122,607.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 5,545,705. The death toll grew to 160,074.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 1,642,665 with 28,264 deaths.

It is followed by France with 1,460,745 infections and 37,485 deaths, Spain with 1,240,697 infections and 36,257 deaths, Argentina with 1,173,533 cases and 31,623 deaths, Colombia with 1,083,321 cases and 31,515 deaths and United Kingdom with 1,057,021 cases and 46,943 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mexico have increased to 929,392 with 92,100 deaths.
