The outbreak has now claimed 266,875 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 13,384,651 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 6 pm BJT on Monday.
India has confirmed a total of 9,431,691 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 137,139.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 6,314,740 with 172,833 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
Russia has confirmed 2,275,936 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 39,491.
France has recorded 2,270,573 confirmed cases and 52,410 deaths.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 44,668 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 1,628,208.
The UK has reported 1,621,307 COVID-19 cases and 58,342 deaths from the virus so far.
It is followed by Italy with 54,904 deaths from 1,585,178 infections.
A total of 1,418,807 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 38,473.
Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 1,308,376, with the number of deaths at 36,584, according to the JHU virus tracker.
