The outbreak has now claimed 240,771 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 9,931,862 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 7:30 pm BJT on Saturday.
India has confirmed a total of 8,462,080 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 125,562.
Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 5,631,181 with 162,015 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.
Russia has confirmed 1,740,172 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 30,010.
France has recorded 1,709,716 confirmed cases and 39,916 deaths.
The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 38,833 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 1,328,832.
A total of 1,228,814 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 33,136.
The UK has reported 1,149,791 COVID-19 cases and 48,565 deaths from the virus so far.
Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 1,127,733, with the number of deaths at 32,405, according to the JHU virus tracker.
It is followed by Mexico with 94,323 deaths from 955,128 infections.
