Globally, as of 4:33pm CET, Saturday, there have been 49,106,931 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 1,239,157 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 237,019 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 9,849,696, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 10am BJT on Sunday. 

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 8,462,080. The death toll grew to 125,562.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 5,653,561. The death toll grew to 162,269.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 1,740,172 with 30,010 deaths.

It is followed by France with 1,709,773 infections and 40,220 deaths, Spain with 1,328,832 infections and 38,833 deaths, Argentina with 1,236,851 cases and 33,348 deaths, United Kingdom with 1,174,770 cases and 48,978 deaths, and Colombia with 1,136,447 cases and 32,595 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mexico have increased to 955,128 with 94,808 deaths.
