Globally, as of 6:30 pm BJT on Sunday, there have been 49,106,931 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,239,157 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 241,651 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 10,043,158 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 6:30 pm BJT on Sunday.

India has confirmed a total of 8,507,754 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 126,121.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 5,653,561 with 162,269 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 1,760,420 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 30,292.

France has recorded 1,709,773 confirmed cases and 40,220 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 38,833 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 1,328,832.

A total of 1,236,851 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 33,348.

The UK has reported 1,174,770 COVID-19 cases and 48,978 deaths from the virus so far.

Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 1,136,447, with the number of deaths at 32,595, according to the JHU virus tracker.

It is followed by Mexico with 94,808 deaths from 961,938 infections.
