Globally, as of 3:12 pm CEST on Saturday, there have been 34,495,176 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 1,025,729 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 209,394 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 7,382,944, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 3:23 pm BJT on Sunday.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 6,549,373. The death toll grew to 101,782.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 4,906,833. The death toll grew to 145,987.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 1,198,663 with 21,153 deaths.

It is followed by Colombia with 848,147 infections and 26,556 deaths, Peru with 821,564 infections and 32,609 deaths, Argentina with 790,818 cases and 20,795 deaths, Spain with 789,932 cases and 32,086 deaths and Mexico with 757,953 cases and 78,880 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Africa have increased to 679,716 with 16,938 deaths.
