Globally, as of 6 pm BJT on Thursday, there have been 33,722,075 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,009,270 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 211,062 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 7,386,327 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 6 pm BJT on Thursday.

India has confirmed a total of 6,312,584 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 98,678.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 4,810,935 with 143,952 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 1,179,634 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 20,796.

Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 829,679, with the number of deaths at 25,998, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Peru has reported 811,768 COVID-19 cases and 32,396 deaths from the virus so far.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 31,791 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 769,188.

A total of 751,001 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 16,937.

It is followed by Mexico with 77,646 deaths from 743,216 infections.

South Africa has recorded 674,339 confirmed cases and 16,734 deaths.
