Globally, as of 3:29 pm CEST on Monday, there have been 37,423,660 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 1,074,817 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 214,049 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 7,803,114, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 8:24 am BJT on Tuesday.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 7,120,538. The death toll grew to 109,150.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 5,094,979. The death toll grew to 150,488.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 1,305,093 with 22,594 deaths.

It is followed by Colombia with 919,083 infections and 27,985 deaths, Argentina with 903,730 infections and 24,186 deaths, Spain with 888,968 cases and 33,124 deaths, Peru with 849,371 cases and 33,305 deaths and Mexico with 817,503 cases and 83,781 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in France have increased to 776,097 with 32,703 deaths.
