Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Monday, there have been 39,596,858 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,107,374 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 223,920 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 8,311,536 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Monday.

India has confirmed a total of 7,494,551 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 114,031.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 5,224,362 with 153,675 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 1,390,824 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 24,039.

A total of 989,680 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 26,267.

Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 959,572, with the number of deaths at 28,970, according to the JHU virus tracker.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 33,775 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 936,560.

France has recorded 876,342 confirmed cases and 33,325 deaths.

Peru has reported 865,549 COVID-19 cases and 33,702 deaths from the virus so far.

It is followed by Mexico with 86,167 deaths from 851,227 infections.
