Globally, as of 7:30 pm BJT on Monday, there have been 42,512,186 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,147,301 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 225,239 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 8,636,995 infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 7:30 pm BJT on Monday.

India has confirmed a total of 7,909,959 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 119,014.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 5,394,128 with 157,134 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 1,520,800 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 26,092.

France has recorded 1,182,153 confirmed cases and 34,789 deaths.

A total of 1,090,589 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 28,896.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 32,929 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 1,046,132.

Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 1,015,885, with the number of deaths at 30,000, according to the JHU virus tracker.

It is followed by Mexico with 88,924 deaths from 891,160 infections.

Peru has reported 888,715 COVID-19 cases and 34,149 deaths from the virus so far.
