Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Tuesday, there have been 43,421,678 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,158,321 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 225,677 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 8,698,699 infections, according to a tally by the Johns Hopkins University as of 10 am BJT.

India has confirmed a total of 7,909,959 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 119,014.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 5,394,128 with 157,397 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 1,520,800 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 26,092.

A total of 1,102,301 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 29,301.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 35,031 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 1,098,320.

France has recorded 1,209,651 confirmed cases and 35,052 deaths.

Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 1,025,052, with the number of deaths at 30,348, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Mexico has reported 891,160 COVID-19 cases and 88,924 deaths from the virus so far.

Peru has reported 888,715 COVID-19 cases and 34,149 deaths from the virus so far.
