Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Thursday, there have been 35,659,007 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,044,269 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 215,822 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 7,703,045 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Thursday.

India has confirmed a total of 6,757,131 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 104,555.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 5,000,694 with 148,228 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 1,242,258 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 21,755.

Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 877,683, with the number of deaths at 27,180, according to the JHU virus tracker.

A total of 840,915 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 22,226.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 32,562 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 835,901.

Peru has reported 832,929 COVID-19 cases and 32,914 deaths from the virus so far.

It is followed by Mexico with 82,726 deaths from 799,188 infections.

France has recorded 693,603 confirmed cases and 32,463 deaths.
