Globally, as of 7:30 pm BJT on Friday, there have been 29,737,453 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 937,391 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 201,282 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 6,809,634 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 7:30 pm BJT on Friday.

India has confirmed a total of 5,214,677 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 84,372.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 4,455,386 with 134,935 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 1,086,955 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 19,128.

Peru has reported 744,400 COVID-19 cases and 31,051 deaths from the virus so far.

Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 743,945, with the number of deaths at 23,665, according to the JHU virus tracker.

It is followed by Mexico with 72,179 deaths from 684,113 infections.

South Africa has recorded 655,572 confirmed cases and 15,772 deaths.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 30,405 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 625,651.

A total of 601,713 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 12,460.
