Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Wednesday, there have been 31,174,627 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 962,613 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 204,676 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 7,036,038 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Wednesday.

India has confirmed a total of 5,562,663 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 88,935.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 4,558,040 with 137,272 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 1,111,157 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 19,575.

Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 777,537, with the number of deaths at 24,397, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Peru has reported 768,895 COVID-19 cases and 31,369 deaths from the virus so far.

It is followed by Mexico with 74,348 deaths from 705,263 infections.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 30,904 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 682,267.

South Africa has recorded 663,282 confirmed cases and 16,118 deaths.

A total of 652,174 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 13,952.
