Globally, as of 5:14 pm CEST on Saturday, there have been 32,110,656 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 980,031 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 203,782 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 7,033,924, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 3:23 pm BJT on Saturday.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 5,903,932. The death toll grew to 93,379.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 4,689,613. The death toll grew to 140,537.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 1,131,088 with 19,973 deaths.

It is followed by Colombia with 798,317 infections and 25,103 deaths, Peru with 794,584 infections and 32,037 deaths, Mexico with 720,858 cases and 75,844 deaths, Spain with 716,481 cases and 31,232 deaths and Argentina with 691,235 cases and 15,208 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Africa have increased to 668,529 with 16,312 deaths.
