Globally, as of 2:15 pm CEST on Saturday, there have been 32,429,965 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 985,823 deaths, reported to WHO.

The outbreak has now claimed the lives of at least 204,498 people in the US, the most of any country. The US also leads the world in the number of confirmed infections with 7,078,798, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University as of 3:23 pm BJT on Sunday.

India has confirmed a total number of infections to 5,992,532. The death toll grew to 94,503.

Brazil has confirmed a total number of infections to 4,717,991. The death toll grew to 141,406.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Russia have increased to 1,138,509 with 20,140 deaths.

It is followed by Colombia with 806,038 infections and 25,296 deaths, Peru with 794,584 infections and 32,037 deaths, Mexico with 726,431 cases and 76,243 deaths, Spain with 716,481 cases and 31,232 deaths and Argentina with 702,484 cases and 15,543 deaths.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Africa have increased to 669,498 with 16,376 deaths.
