Globally, as of 10 am BJT on Wednesday, there have been 33,249,563 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 1,000,040 deaths, reported the World Health Organization.

The outbreak has now claimed 209,992 lives in the US, the most of any country, with a total of 7,339,607 infections, according to a tally by the 1Point3Acres virus tracker as of 10 am BJT on Wednesday.

India has confirmed a total of 6,145,291 COVID-19 cases, raising the number of deaths to 96,318.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Brazil have increased to 4,745,464 with 142,058 deaths, Johns Hopkins reported.

Russia has confirmed 1,162,428 cases of COVID-19, with the number of deaths at 20,456.

Colombia's confirmed cases have increased to 818,203, with the number of deaths at 25,641, according to the JHU virus tracker.

Peru has reported 808,714 COVID-19 cases and 32,324 deaths from the virus so far.

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed 31,411 lives in Spain, bringing the total number of infections to 748,266.

It is followed by Mexico with 77,163 deaths from 738,163 infections.

A total of 736,609 people in Argentina have tested positive for COVID-19, with the death toll at 16,519.

South Africa has recorded 672,572 confirmed cases and 16,667 deaths.
