Three Chinese killed in road accident in Egypt

Cairo (People's Daily) – A mini-bus overturned into a roadside canal in Egypt on Tuesday resulted in the death of three Chinese tourists and eleven others injured according to a spokesperson from the Alexandria Security Directorate.

The accident took place near the bridge of Mergham on the Cairo-Alexandria desert road, which is the main highway that connects Egypt’s two largest cities. The mini-bus strayed from the lanes and fell into a ditch, resulting in the deaths and injuries. China’s diplomatic missions in Egypt is tracking the accident and has taken emergency response measures.
