Washington (People's Daily) – US President Donald Trump has recently started consulting with his advisers about whom he should tap as his next chief of staff, with John Kelly expected to depart the administration as early as this summer, according to sources close to the matter.

According to Reuters, Mick Mulvaney, who is the White House budget director and a former member of the US House of Representatives, and Nick Ayers, the Vice President Mike Pence's chief of staff, are the two possibile choices for Trump, the source said.

Kelly was picked as chief of staff last summer to bring order to the West Wing in place of Reince Priebus, the former chairman of the Republican National Committee who presided over the early months of the Trump presidency.
