ISTANBUL, July 21 (Xinhua) -- Turkey's national flag carrier Turkish Airlines (THY) on Tuesday resumed flights to China's southern city of Guangzhou, the company's press office told Xinhua.

The carrier's first plane to Guangzhou would depart from Turkey's biggest city Istanbul at 6:35 p.m. (1535 GMT).

Meanwhile, the THY announced on its website that it has planned three flights per week from Istanbul to Hong Kong starting from July 21.

On June 11, Turkey partially resumed international flights, which had been suspended for nearly two months over the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
