Paris (People’s Daily) -  A few French netizens have made extreme remarks on Twitter, calling for an "assault on every Chinese they meet in the street."

The racist tweets, which were posted on Wednesday, have come under sharp criticism by most French netizens.

Twitter on Thursday removed the extreme remarks and suspended the related accounts. However, the threatening words have raised concern among Chinese living in France, and some Chinese have warned each other in online social media groups to avoid going out and be safe.
