Bangkok (People's Daily) - Two Thailand airports, Suvarnabhumi Airport and Don Mueang International Airport, have been accredited for their hygienic measures by the Airport Health Accreditation (AHA) Programme from Airport Council International (ACI).

The two airports, run by Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT), have been awarded for attaching great importance to hygienic measures and health safety amid the ongoing COIVID-19 pandemic.

The AHA Programme is designed to provide airports with an assessment of how aligned their health measures are with the new guidance issued by ACI for airport industry restart and recovery and ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) Council Aviation Restart Task Force recommendations, along with industry best practices.

All airports participating in the program are required to provide relevant information to ACI as well as attending teleconferences for assessment and reporting to ACI on a regular basis.

Joining the program enables AOT, with all due awareness on the importance of travel safety, to reassure passengers departing from or arriving at airports run by the company.
