UAE, Oman finish military exercise

DUBAI, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman finished "Cooperation 2" military exercise on Wednesday, state-run Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

During the two-week exercise, which was held in the UAE starting from Feb. 3, a number of missions were conducted within the framework of cooperation and coordination between the two countries, WAM said.

"'Cooperation 2' consisted of a number of tough exercises to boost contacts between the UAE ground forces and the Omani army," Commander of the UAE Ground Forces Saleh Mohamed Saleh Al Ameri said.

He praised the combat preparedness shown during the two-week exercise.
