UAE reports 479 new COVID-19 cases, 6,781 in total

DUBAI, April 19 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Sunday announced 479 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number in the country to 6,781.

UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention said in a statement the new cases of many nationalities are in stable condition and receiving medical treatment.

Besides, 98 more have fully recovered from the disease, taking the total recoveries to 1,286, according to the ministry.

The ministry also confirmed four more death, raising the death toll to 41.

The UAE was the first among the Gulf countries to report COVID-19 cases.
