Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone talk with U.S. President Joe Biden on January 27. Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Biden for the military assistance provided by the United States.

The U.S., Ukraine and NATO have claimed that Russia is "invading" with a military buildup near the eastern border of Ukraine.

Russian denies this, stressing that NATO activities threaten the security of the Russian border and that Russia has the right to mobilize troops in its territory to defend it.
