NEW YORK, June 6 (Xinhua) -- The number of COVID-19 cases in the United States topped 1.9 million on Saturday, reaching 1,901,416 as of 11:32 a.m. (1532 GMT), according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University.

Meanwhile, the national death toll reached 109,215, according to the tally.

New York remains the hardest-hit state with 376,208 cases and 30,236 fatalities. Other states with over 100,000 cases include New Jersey, California, Illinois, and Massachusetts, the tally showed.
