US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19, and will begin quarantine and recovery process immediately, said the president’s tweet early Friday.

Trump’s positive test comes just hours after White House top aide Hope Hicks contracted COVID-19 on Thursday. Hicks began feeling mild symptoms during the plane ride home from a rally in Minnesota Wednesday evening, according to US media.

Trump later tweeted: “The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process.”
