US says its preparing and coordinating donations for China

Washington (People's Daily) – US State Department Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus tweeted Tuesday that her department is “working with US companies and charitable organizations to facilitate delivery of donated medical supplies to teams working on the coronavirus relief efforts in China.”

China appreciates all sincere and friendly understanding, support and help from the international community, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said Wednesday in response to international concern for the current coronavirus outbreak in China.

As of Wednesday noon, 21 national governments from South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Germany, the UK, France, Italy, Hungary, Belarus, Turkey, Iran, the UAE, Algeria, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand and Trinidad and Tobago, as well as the UNICEF, have donated prevention and control materials to China, according to Hua.
