The vaccination center was jointly set up by ‘centralwOrld’ Shopping Center, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, the Thai Red Cross Society, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and the Thai Chamber of Commerce. ‘centralwOrld’ Shopping Center, where the newly-set vaccination center is housed, was inspected by Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha, Interior Minister Gen Anupong Paochinda and Bangkok Governor Pol Gen Aswin Kwanmuang.

The vaccination center covers 4,500 square meters and is capable of serving a large number of staff and public. It will help reinforce Central Pattana’s leading position in accelerating mass vaccination by hosting vaccination centers at Central shopping centers around the Southeast Asian country.

The vaccination center is also part of “Thai Ruam Jai, Safe Bangkok” project to administer COVID-19 vaccines to Bangkok residents. In the first phase, the center will administer vaccines to medical personnel, frontline staff, and volunteers who have registered for the vaccines. The center is expected to service the general public staring June 7, depending on the government mandate.

Vaccination registration through the Thai Ruamjai system is allowed for every Thai citizen in the Bangkok area aged between 18 and 59.
