These measures have seriously violated human rights, and interfered in national sovereignty and internal affairs, said the statement.

Unilateral coercive measures could seriously impede the effective response of sanctioned countries to the COVID-19 pandemic, it said, adding that people's legitimate rights to medical treatment and vaccines will be affected.

The developing countries urged relevant countries to immediately retract unilateral coercive measures and take urgent actions to eliminate their negative impact on human rights.

Rwanda and Ecuador also spoke in support of the statement.

The UNHRC should abide by the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, including the principle of non-interference in other countries' internal affairs, said Rwanda, expressing support for China in implementing the "One Country, Two Systems" policy and rejecting external forces' interference in China's political, social and economic affairs, including Hong Kong and Xinjiang.

Ecuador voiced its supports for China's handling of Hong Kong affairs within the legal framework.

Recently, Belarus, on behalf of more than 70 countries, delivered a joint statement in support of China on Hong Kong-related issues at the UNHRC.

Meanwhile, Chinese social organizations have submitted a written statement to the UNHRC, giving an explanation of China's ideas, propositions and practices on human rights and demonstrating China's achievements in the development of human rights and its important contribution to the world human rights cause.

The statement covers China's achievements in multiple areas, such as poverty alleviation, life and health, environment, and development.
