A destructive wildfire swept across the town of Paradise in northern California on Thursday morning, charring over 20,000 acres and destroying dozens of homes in a matter of hours.
More than 27,000 residents fled for their lives as high winds and low humidity allowed the wildfire to spread rapidly. (Photo: VCG)
