At 5 am on June 25, affected by heavy rainfall, the flood dike in the upper reaches of Taishan River, located in Taishan Township, Anfu County, Ji'an City, east China’s Jiangxi Province was washed away, which had caused the river diversion. The floodwaters submerged the road leading to the areas of Shiyuzu and Xiaohuzu in Yueshan Village, resulting with all residents in the village were trapped.
The emergency responders in Anfu County immediately rushed to the hardest-hit scenes to rescue the masses. In the Shiyuzu Area, rescuers mobilized large trucks to the village according based on actual road conditions to relieve the trapped civilians. In the Xiaohuzu Area, due to the roaring floodwaters, rescuers had to use a rope to cross the water to rescue those who were trapped, and successfully transferred the more than 330 people to safety.
