JDDJ, the local on-demand retail platform of Dada Group, announced on Friday that it is partnering with major supermarket chains, such as Walmart, Yonghui, CR Vanguard, AEON, Lotus, and well-known brand owners, such as Unilever, General Mills, Yili, Mengniu, Nestlé to jointly launch the Cool Season Shopping Festival.

This year's festival will be held from July 11 to July 19. And the ice cream, yogurts, beer, beverages, fruits, vegetables, summer medicine and cleaning products are expected to be the bestsellers. Various discounts and promotional events are integrated into JDDJ’s platform with the support of retailers and brands, covering more than 700 cities and counties across the country and bringing consumers more convenient "One Hour Delivery" shopping experience in summer.
During the festival, JDDJ will launch a special themed event every day, including ice products, summer medicine, fresh fruits, cleaning care and other popular categories, to satisfy the daily needs of consumers in summer. There are more than 1,000 types of medical and health care products on JDDJ’s platform, which provide nightly and 24-hour delivery service. From February to June this year, nightly orders of medicine increased by more than 50 percent month-on-month.
In order to ensure bestselling summer items such as ice cream and fresh food is delivered to consumers quickly, Dada Now, the local on-demand delivery platform of Dada Group, has upgraded its riders’ equipment. The new insulated carriers keep the ice products cool for up to four hours and can deliver multiple orders at the same time, ensuring the quality of the goods and allowing consumers to enjoy the “one-hour delivery” shopping experience at home.
