The "Ice Cube" was opened to public for the first time on April 16, 2022 after the Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.

On that day, about 1,000 spectators walked into the "Ice Cube" of the National Aquatics Center, which retains the ice surface during the games.

The "Ice Cube" thus became the first of all 12 competition venues in the Beijing Winter Olympics to open to public experience.

To ensure safety of people involved in the Olympic Games, the Beijing Winter Olympic Games and Winter Paralympic Games implement strict closed-loop management during the competition.

In order to meet the demand of more audiences to "visit the Winter Olympics", the "Ice Cube" focuses on the athletes' flow and functional areas, retains the winter Paralympic wheelchair curling ice surface and a large number of landscape elements to highlight the "original" sense of the competition.

It is reported that the "Ice Cube" experience activities will last from April 16 to May 15.
