2025 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the EU. In this episode of PD Talk, Cui Hongjian, professor of the Academy of Regional and Global Governance at Beijing Foreign Studies University, told the People's Daily in Guangzhou on December 4 that now is a critical time for China and the EU to find a new balance of relations and seek common interests.
Cui also highlighted China's commitment to finding common ground with other countries and contributing to the international community.
Cui attended the 2024 Understanding China conference, which was held in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, from December 2 to 4.
