On Taohua Island in Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province, a group of doctors are emerging as true-life heroes. Traveling aboard a medical ship, they deliver free healthcare services to residents on remote islands. In the past, many elderly islanders spent hours traveling on boats just to see a doctor. Today, medical staff from provincial and city hospitals regularly volunteer on their days off to bring healthcare directly to local communities.
